100 years of WOAH: A century of improving animal health and welfare

The Global Alliance of Pet Food Associations (GAPFA) congratulates the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) on reaching a remarkable milestone of 100 years!
Since its inception in 1924, WOAH has been at the forefront of safeguarding animal health worldwide, embodying a commitment to excellence, collaboration, and innovation. WOAH has remained steadfast in its mission to ensure the health and welfare of animals across the globe. Through its scientific expertise, standards-setting initiatives, and capacity-building programs, it has made invaluable contributions to the field of veterinary medicine and public health.

In support of our Memorandum of Understanding with WOAH, GAPFA remains committed to continuing the technical cooperation and exchange on activities of mutual interest to support the health and wellbeing of dogs and cats and to promote the benefits of living with them. GAPFA shares WOAH’s commitment to animal health and well-being, including companion animals, and we look forward to continuing to work together over the next 100 years.
