GAPFA Appoints New Secretary General

Brussels, Belgium – The Global Alliance of Pet Food Associations (GAPFA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Sebastian Csaki as its new Secretary General, effective immediately. Sebastian will lead GAPFA’s work to improve the health and wellbeing of pets globally through access to safe, nutritious and sustainable pet food.

With over 20 years of international experience, Sebastian brings deep expertise in international association management, stakeholder relations, as well as sustainability, feed and food safety topics. His leadership in representing multinational companies and advising global organizations makes him exceptionally well-suited to guide GAPFA as it evolves its strategic impact in a dynamic global landscape.

“I am very pleased with this appointment,” said Loretta Hunter, President of GAPFA. “Sebastian’s global experience and knowledge of international association leadership will be instrumental in advancing GAPFA’s mission to provide unified leadership in representing, promoting, and supporting the global pet food industry.”

Sebastian is a founding partner at AdAC Communications, a strategic advisory firm supporting global institutions and associations. The AdAC Communications Team will support GAPFA, contributing their long-standing expertise in strategy, association management and policy, communications, and global stakeholder engagement.

Sebastian also serves as Senior Advisor to the International Feed Industry Federation (IFIF) since 2012 and is a Director of the Global Feed LCA Institute (GFLI). Previously, he held senior positions in Global Corporate Affairs at LVMH Moët Hennessy – Louis Vuitton and McDonald’s Europe.

Sebastian holds a PhD and MPhil in International Studies from the University of Cambridge, UK, and BAs in French Literature and International Relations from the College of William & Mary in Virginia, USA.
